No, I would not recommend this to a friend
“I bought these shoes to hike in, and not be concerned when crossing creeks. They just aren't that great, rocks get into the shoes so easily. I took them to the river and every time i stepped into the river, rocks would get in them, and i'd have to stop and take them off, dump them out and repeat. They also have horrible traction. My friend with cheap [...] shoes had a better time on the boulders than these shoes. Going to have to send these back.”
