Salomon The Don Ski Jacket - Waterproof (For Men)

The hood design somewhat limits head movements when wearing a helmet. I'm 5-10 and 170 lbs and this is just borderline with the medium I got. Otherwise a VERY nice shell with lots of pockets, incl. gadgets. Need to layer up inside for warmth which I see as an advantage over a bulky jacket. Not tested yet in real off-piste conditions but I have the feeling this shell would be perfect for deep powder and some serious ski touring away from the crowds.

Planned on using this for all snow activities including snowboarding, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, etc. I have always worn a size M but this is the first jacket in 5 years that fit too big. This would be a size L for other brands. Too bad... seemed like an awesome jacket with an offset main zipper and included a stretchy lower face and neck protector. Had to return because of the size. Never used, so I can't comment on how it performed. It's also lacking in the style category, but that didn't bother me. When getting a 60%+ off deal my philosophy is function over form.

Make the hood roll up and it is 100%.

This jacket is just the right combination of features and light weight with all of the wind stopping ability
