The right boot fit good, felt reasonably good, and was Ok walking in. The left boot hurt my heel; I tried numerous insoles, to try to alleviate the problem, but to no avail; yet, I couldn't feel or see anything wrong with the boot. I even thought it might be something wrong with my foot, that it was swollen or something, but everything else I owned felt good to wear and walk or run in. I bought them in a heartbeat, given STP's dealflyer discount pricing; they would have been perfect for a wet California winter and a trip to very wet trails on Kauai. Now I'm hesitant to try buying them again - the right boot was good, but maybe not that good.
I did walk about a mile or so in them, but the left boot hurt so much, I wasn't able to get a good long walk in to evaluate how well the right boot worked for me.

I bought these boots last May prior to a season guiding on Kilimanjaro. On my first break in climb in the Sierras, the medial tread of the shoe completely delaminated within the fist 2 miles of hiking. I had them fixed prior to my flight out the following week but was even more surprised that these "gore-tex" boots became completely soaked through walking in wet grass, again with short exposure time. I am an outdoor professional and I put gear through the ringer, but I expected much more in terms of quality and durability from Salomon. It was a huge let down as for the price of 200+ these boots should have lasted more than a 2 month season .

Just bought these with the $20 eDeals card offer (they do not qualify for any % off coupons). Thought I would point out that the orange color appears to be the Wings Sky GTX 2, while the black color looks like the original Wings Sky GTX.

Got these boots on a Friday and climbed Culebra Peak (14,047ft)on Sunday. Perfect boot. No breakin required. So far i already put on about 20,000 ft of elevation gain in these babies and they feel just as good on the decent as they do on the climb.
