Salomon XA Pro 3D Trail Running Shoes (For Women)

Had to give them to a friend who has a foot that is a size bigger than mine.

Ordered these shoes for my gf's mother.. She lives in these shoes, hiking, walking, shopping, and lounging.. She says they are one of the best pair of shoes she has ever had.. Her only complain is that if worn on pavement alot the soles will wear faster..

I have small feet (size 6), and I ordered a size 5 after reading the other reviews that suggested ordering at least one size smaller than normal. Turns out, I needed at least a 4.5. Also the break-in time took a bit longer than I expected. Keep the orthodics that came with the shoes. These are the most comfortable. Once I had them broken in though, they were the most comfortable shoes to wear. I could wear them for long hours while standing at work and then hit the trail with them afterwards. The lacing system is brilliant too, although it hits the foot a little weird for a shoe that doesn't fit exactly perfect. I'm a big fan, and if I can find a smaller size than a 5, I will get it immediately.

This is my 4th pair of Salomon trail shoe. this pair however had a odd fit to my instep and arch. just did not seem to line up right. I kept the shoe anyway and have been wearing them. Hopeing the insole will mold to my foot. It does seem to be softening but I have not had this with my other Salomon shoes.[...]

This is my first pair of this particular shoe, but my 8th pair of Salomons. These are lightweight but durable and can handle the trails. They are narrower than other Salomons I've had. But not too narrow. My feet are average width.
