She doesn't run trails, she puts in long hours on wood, linoleum and tile floors of cafeterias and kitchens. She says these shoes have color, comfort, support and sturdy footing all in one.

I have been looking for comfortable shoes that I could wear hiking for quite a while. I have tried numerous brands to no avail. I decided to try these based on the reviews as well as the fact that I recently tried Salomon shoes for walking. I just got back from doing a week of day hikes. These shoes are the best that I have tried. No break in period and comfortable from the start - I recommended these shoes to the person that I was hiking with.

I walk 5+ days per week on variable terrain. These shoes are very comfortable with great support while still providing plenty of room in the toebox. They are lightweight and breathable. I love the green color. What appears to be light yellow/green in the photo is actually neon. These do not run large as was stated in another review. I had to send a pair back as they were tight over the ball of my foot (note the black strip with dots in the photo). It was not a major problem to begin with, but became progressively worse. My normal size fits well and the support in the strip feels great. I appreciate Salomon quality and highly recommend these shoes. By the way, when I called Sierra Trading Post about the fit problem (after 2 weeks of wear) they reminded me of their 100% satisfaction guaranteed policy. The shoes were replaced quickly and easily. I was impressed!

  • Question “1. The width through the forefoot -- I wear Brooks Glycerine 9 shoes right now, size 7 medium width, and they fit beautifully because those shoes tend to run a bit larger in the width, more like a C width would fit, which is what I am, usually, while not quite needing a D width. But, unlike my Brook Glycerin 9's, some B width shoes run on the snug side, and if that's the case, the sides of my feet would be red and throbbing after a day of pounding on them, so that little bit makes a big difference. 2. Cushioning -- another reason the brooks glycerin 9 shoes are working for me so well at the moment is because I need a LOT of cushioning. I have very high arches and do not have the pronation issues most people have - I do not need a good 'stabilization' shoe, I need a nice cushion shoe that can absorb impact and has good room across that forefoot for my toe-span. : ) These look so absolutely, utterly adorable though, I want a pair so bad! lol So I thought I'd ask about these things first! : ) THANKS! ”

    • Answer Comparing the two they appear to be the same width. They are outfitted with neutral cushioning, these shoes use stretchy mesh and and a unique Quiklace system to adapt to feet in need of extra forefoot. They have a triple-density EVA midsole for added durability and cushioning.
