3.0 out of 5 stars. Thick solesVerified Buyer Reviewed by MIke from California on Tuesday, June 23, 2015Everything was received in great condition. The soles of the shoes were larger than I was expecting. Still a good deal for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Salomon XR Shift Trail Running ShoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Brian ONeil from Colorado on Wednesday, June 3, 2015A well made and practical shoe. Note that they run small 1/2 size (STP did say this) but the larger size did fit me well.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Unfortunate, very uncomfortable.Reviewed by Jayg from az on Thursday, May 28, 2015I have many, many salomon trail shoes in my repertoire. I have been happy with all their products, and feel they are a great company and put the effort into making great outdoor trail running gear. I especially like the 2012 or 2013 xR Mission Trail. I was hoping this would be similar, and out of the box it looks pretty good shoe. What a price as well. But I put it on and walked the house for five minutes, and noticed it was the most uncomfortable foot bed I had had under my feet in a long time. The upper was okay but it was too uncomfortable to even walk for more than 5 minutes. You get what you pay for. Solomon must of had many leftovers as repeat customers did not come back to this shoe.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoesVerified Buyer Reviewed by Claytonduper from Missouri on Friday, March 20, 2015I bought these for daily use and all around shoe wear. I have chronic plantar fascia and my feet have held up very well. They do fit smaller, so definitely buy one size larger. The overall look and appearance are excellent and the material seems to be durable. I would purchase this brand again.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Solid well constructed shoe w/ firm sole and good traction but generates heatVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Ann Arbor, MI on Monday, March 16, 2015As you would expect from Salomon, these shoes seem to be well constructed and perform well for their intended purpose. They have a wide footprint and good grip. I don't have many miles on them yet, but they have performed well on the road, dirt and in slushy ice/snow. The fit is true as I am a 12 and these fit snugly.
The one draw back is these generate a good amount of heat. This is not a deal breaker but should be considered for those living in warmer climates. Fortunately (or unforturnately) for me I moved from sunny AZ to the frozen vortex tundra of MI and therefor heat is not of major concern. -

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great shoe at any price.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Timex from Northern Arizona on Friday, January 23, 2015Wide toe box, great traction. First run was in snow, ice, and mud. Short stretch on pavement. Very impressed. Inserts slipped right in. From an older, slower, slightly heavier runner.
