Salomon XT Wings Gore-Tex® Trail Running Shoes - Waterproof (For Men)

I'm disappointed with this Salomon model after wearing them 1 week at work and on the trails. The lacing design of the XT Wings has offset lace anchors which bind across the top of my foot. Regardless of how loose I could make the laces, the shoes still are uncomfortable. My XT Wings 2(non-Gore tex) fit much better.

Lucky again... I needed to replace my beloved Salomon Mens XA Pro 3D Ultra that I found for [$] a few years ago. STP came through again. I snagged the last 8.5. This is actually a half size small but the shoe offers some flexibility with the pull lacing system. These ride a bit higher than the XA and are set up more as a runner. It is a slight trade of stability for speed. In terms of overall performance, I have never worn a shoe that compares to Salomon's Gor-Tex models. Dry and comfortable from the trails of Western NC to the streets of Chicago!

used these on a 3000ft first day out of the box and feet didnt hurt pretty sweet

Read all the great reviews, even bought my wife a pair and she loves them, but they just didn't work for me. My feet a kind of sensitive and I have trouble finding shoes that are comfortable. I just had too many pressure points and I wish they had a little more cushion to the insert. The shoe looks great and the lacing system is quick and easy. I usually wear an 11 and ordered an 11.5 after reading other reviews and it fit.

I usually use the north face or new balance shoes for my trail running but wanted to try a new brand. I log up to ten miles in an outing and often run in snow. I loved these shoes, Only problem was they were to NARROW. I tried to go up a half size but still to narrow through the arch, toe box seemed ok. It's strange, and to bad because if I had a narrow foot you bet I would be tearing up the trail in these killer shoes.

I found these shoes to be great right out of the box. I owned an model of Salomon shoes and I am happy to say the Gore-Tex XT-Wings are an awesome improvement. The ortholite is comfortable and provides a lot of support.

Usually when I drive to the mountains in normal shoes, they get wet with one walk outside to use the bathroom or gas up. In these puppies, my feet were extra warm.

A great shoe,I have narrow feet and the fit is great. Light and comfortable with great support. Felt nice fron the start, still new hope they last as good as they feel. Still would prefer the old fashioned laces.
