This is my first experience with a Solomon shoe. I bought this style because of it's urban/trail crossover ability. So far the fit is good (be sure to watch the sizing as they do run big). Not sure if I'm all that keen on the lacing system; it's a little difficult to tighten, not too bad though and they're really long. I have to tuck the end under my furthest lace to keep it from flopping around and I would be slightly concerned on trails that that extra bit might hook up on a stick or something and send me for a "trip" if I didn't keep it tucked in right. Overall so far I like it.
