These boots were a great price vs. other stores so I decided to try them. They cut into my heels and I could wear them for about 5 minutes inside the house before they hurt. I did not even run in them. I returned them immediately.

Fits my feet great!

Absolute comfort of the foot bed. Strap edges are a little stiff and abrasive.

I've never worn this brand i've always been an asics or mizuno girl, but I figured i'd give them a try. I normally wear 8.5s in Asics so When ordered the 8.5 in Salomons there were very large. Unfortunately STP didn't offer the 8's they might have been perfect so I figured i'd wing it and try the 7.5s. The 7.5s actually fit length wise but are just a little snug/narrow. I was shocked they fit me length wise though. As far as durability or wear and tear I have no idea since I just got them but they look good and have great reviews so i'm hopefully. ALl and all i'd say order half a size down.

I do speedy marathon-length mountain hikes over rugged, rocky terrain, and over the distance, these are the most comfortable boots I've yet owned - light, soft, flexible. For the weight and flexibility, they have surprisingly good torsional stability and ankle support. Traction suffers a little when the shallow sole lugs fill up with wet dirt/debris, so vigilance needed. The GoreTex *really* works. I've 3/4 submerged them during stream crossings and remained completely dry. These boots accomodate my low-volume, slightly narrow feet well, and higher-volume friends say the boots work for them as well. Lastly, Salomon's speed laces are wonderful for easy on/off/adjustment.

The fit, durability, stability, cushion, and toe box room are all assets. These have proven to be the best trail runner I have owned so far. I have a longer second toe than any other so it's hard to find shoes that have a higher arch and plenty of room for my lanky toes and this show fills all those needs. I'm looking forward to wearing them out to see how try last over the long haul.

This purchase was my third. I love the comfort, durability and the fact that my feet stay dry in the wet grass. Since I require a wide shoe, this roomie one is the greatest.

Good fit and ankle support. Soles are thin and grippy, great for day hikes, may have sore feet if you throw a heavy pack on with these.

Reasonable price and good quality

I ordered two pairs, a half size and a size bigger since the recommendation was to order a half size up. Both were too loose in the heel. My half size up was too tight in the toebox so going down a size was no good. So, I found this a difficult shoe to get a good fit. Otherwise, good upper materials and rugged sole.
