You need a festival/golf/summer hat. Something you can wear with shorts, slacks, a t-shirt, a button down, a tank. Something that didn't make an appearance on your last hut or river trip. Something that keeps the sun off without making you look like a mushroom, and has more style than a ball cap. Th... Read More

I have a very large noggin for a woman; my hair is quite thin, so it's definitely all brains. ;) I would never buy a hat marked O/S (one-sized) because I know it won't fit me. But I took a chance on this one based on the reviews saying it ran on the large size, and the excellent price.

In a fitted cap or cowboy hat, I am usually comfy in a 7 1/2. This hat will fit on my head, low around my brow as I'd like it to, but I'm going to try to soak it to stretch it out just a tad. If I were to put a size on it, I would say it is a 7 1/4 without stretching it. It will easily stretch to a 7 3/8 if you need it to - I just need it to stretch a bit more. ;)

The material and weave pattern are beautiful. I also purchased a similar hat in the same order for comparison (the San Diego Hat Company Straw Fedora Hat) and this one far surpasses the other in quality.

Brim can be shaped in a variety of ways.

I wear an XL in hats, and this one was a bit tight, but an overnight stay with my hat stretcher made it a perfect fit.

This is great summer hat, but the one size is really large or extra large. I wear a medium size hat, so I was able to line the inside rim with felt to make it fit. It's really a cool hat, though. And material seems like a quality grass weave, soft and pliable. It was so inexpensive after the deals offered by STP, so I didn't mind taking the risk with the size. Glad I did.

    Fits perfectly (I'm a 7-3/8) and it's totally cool!
