This is a beautiful sweater. Incredibly light and warm at the same time. The shape is a bit generous in the body (and I got this in small) but at least this allows for comfortable layering because the seater is so light. One little niggle - why does it have a brown zip? Doesn't really match but ...

Soft, light and warm. Colors are fairly muted, great with jeans. Hood small and not saggy, this sweater is jacket length (not a hoodie). Medium fits me great (usually need Large or XL in sweaters, VaVsVoom - LOL) Wear with silk underwear top to prevent the stray itchy spot. But this is not an itchy, heavy sweater. Brown zipper is odd, but doesn't show and blends with maroons in pattern. A little pricey, but if you like the pattern and wear jeans, you'll get a lot of use.

I like alpaca very much for its light warmth. This sweater runs a little large--not so much that a medium is way too big for a sweater that's meant to be an outer layer, but it's a little loose. Colors are very useful, red-lt blue-dk blue-purpleish-whitish blue. Zipper is good. As it is a real "Fair Isle" knit and not a print, and not a double knit, the inner layer can snag rather easily, but the inner threads add to the warmth. Also like other San York sweaters, of which I have 3, the knit is a little loose. It might shrink a little which would make it really, really warm.
