I am a ski lift operator and we have to work in all winter conditions. This hat retains heat extremely well and breaks the wind chill better than any other hat ~ and I have a large array of choices.

the color, brown, is a warm brown that goes well with any neutral and and is neutral enough to bridge from bright to classic. Fit seems right on. I'm petite and don't like tight clothes, so I got a M. even tho I am short, the proportions are right. I'm a little sad that for alpaca it's not as soft as some alpacas, tho those were probably 'baby alpaca' and there's not much softer than that. For the price it is soft but feels substantial, and will be warm, but breathable, as alpaca is. It has nice subtle luster, and feels sturdy. The desging has a flattering modified A line, and yet skims the figure so is flattering as well. the gathering at the front is a feminine touch. All in all, a very nice sweater and great value.

After having my left carotid artery cleaned out, I needed a scarf that would hide the incision. This was perfect!
