About Sanctuary Cotton Peace Pants (For Women)
Closeouts. In a paradoxical fashion statement, Sanctuary's Peace pants have a certain military bearing, from the fabric -- a washed stretch cotton twill -- to the pockets and double-grommeted web belt.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by kcz from Saranac Lake, NY on Thursday, August 30, 2012I ordered size 26 in the tobacco and the khaki. Size was dead on for the khaki but tobacco was a very tight fit in the waist and the thigh. Reordered the tobacco in 27 and fits much better though thigh is still a closer fit than the khaki.A belt is necessary they do stretch out during the day. Other than the sizing issues they are a quality pant.

Reviewed by topaz from oakland, ca on Thursday, August 9, 2012okay, maybe not the best for every body type, but i know that lots of women, myself included, love these pants. they are very hard to come by on sale (thanks SO much STP!!) and some woman who's size 27 will be very happy when i return mine. i bought both 26 and 27 cause i know sizes aren't always consistent. i've got the peace shorts in 27 but the pants have a bit of spandex and i find the 26 fit better; my hips are about 36 1/2 and i'm a size 4 or 6, depending on item. definitely look up Sanctuary's own size chart somewhere online and order by hip size and perhaps go down a size, especially if you like your pants more fitted. they do stretch a bit. unless you're super curvy and trying to play down your rear end, these pants will do wonders for your backside. i'm pretty slim and these hug in just the right places and the flap pockets are the best way to give you a nice behind even if you don't have much of one :) the rise is perfect -- you can find the exact garment measurements, i think, on the popular retail site that starts with "z" -- in between low-rise and midrise and higher in the back, totally appropriate for a woman over 40. this is my second pair. i got a pair last spring (for almost twice the price and it was still a bargain!) all there was in my size here was the "dove tree," a nice soft color but a bit too much like the peace pants i already have so i'm considering getting this pair dyed something darker and different for the fall. they're such great pants that they're probably worth the money. the raw edges may not be for everyone, and they'll be sort of long if you're shorter than 5'7" but i'm tall and love the length. (shorter women could get them hemmed and someone like me can actually wear platforms with them without looking dorky -- there's not much you can do about pants being too short...) if they've got your size and you're looking for a fun alternative to jeans, slightly lighter-weight fabric, and an amazing bargain, grab a pair of these pants fast.
