They're very light to carry, collapsible and don't take too much space in your backpack. Size is as advertized. While these shoes are great for relaxing, you can't do a small "hike" with them. They don't have much support because the upper is very stretchy but because of this "stretchiness," wide feet will fit comfortably in these shoes.

The 9's that I ordered were too big for my 8.5 feet. I was about to return them, but my daughter (size 9.5 - 10) tried them and they were perfect for her; she loves the style.
