    A fair amount of dexterity is required to align the 2" adapter with the hitch and the rack post itself. A threaded bolt hold the three together and although ultimately secure and with less vibration it would have been nice for the adapter to semipermanently attach to the rack. Some might prefer a lynch-pin option over the threaded bolt which requires a 19mm socket/wrench.

    • Answer The rack just comes with a standard hitch mount that will either fit 2" or 1-1/4". It does not come with an separate (male) pieces (a 2" and a 1-1/4") that can be swapped out or a 1-1/4" hitch with a 2" adapter for 2" hitches.
