S.A.S. by Fox River Walker Socks - Lightweight, Crew (For Men and Women)

I own the 1/4 crew (tan) in Fox River, which I bought before our Good Feet store closed up. I Was worried the SAS ones would be inferior but they are not. I need black for winter, so I bought 5 prs. At this price I Will order more before they are gone .

I like these socks. I would consider them to be medium weight, rather than light weight. I was looking for a non-cotton sock for running, hiking, and cross-country skiing that wouldn't wear out after a few uses, and I think these will fit the bill. I originally bought shorter version of these SAS socks and liked them so much I bought the higher-cut crew socks for more coverage in the winter. They are supposedly irregular, but I haven't found any glaring flaws yet, and I have a few pairs.

Some of the irregularities are minor, there are a couple that I'm sure will have the socks unraveling after a couple washes. I don't mind buying irregular socks (especially at a good price), but it should have been in the description of the product.

These socks are supposed to be 75% acrylic, perhaps they are but they don't feel like acrylic to me. My other acrylic socks have a sort of plush feel that these do not. These are also thinner than I expected, but then again the description does say lightweight. They appear to be well made, just not what I was looking for and I will probably return them.
