Most Helpful 5-Star Review

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gadilator from New York, NY on Thursday, January 17, 2013
I was looking for a pant that was stretchy, but not skin-tight..a little looseness in the thighs to allow for movement. These are great--I don't really notice them while I'm running, which I guess is what you want, right? Sizing is about right for me..I'm 5'9", and they come just down to the very to... Read More

  • Question “are the ankle zippers metal, as in getting thur TSA security alarm tripping metal”

Asked on 6/17/2016 4:01:34 PM by jayjay from ny
    • Answer It appears to me, the ankle zippers are nylon and plastic, however the actual zipper mechanism is metal with a rubber tip. I do not have a TSA wand to be more specific, but regardless, this is a great pair of workout gear at an even better price! Good Luck!
Answered on 6/17/2016 5:26:41 PM by LJ from Baton Rouge, LA
    • Answer Like many thin zippers, those onthe Saucony pants have a metal slide and a metal final link. The teeth are thin and firm nylon. Going thru TSA, I would just open the zips and let them flap. They should get the idea.

  • Question “What is the inseam on a size XL?”

Asked on 3/18/2016 6:18:29 AM by clothes horse from NEPA
    • Answer That's not the size I received so I don't have the item to relate. However, you might want to check the chart on tab on the product page for some guidance.

    • Answer I can't answer accurately, because I purchased size L. For size L, I think he inseam is 32. I'd check with STP customer service. They are always very helpful.

    • Answer Typically, Men's pants come in two lengths for every size. In my size -- Medium -- the leg lengths are 30 inches and 32 inches. The Saucony exercise stretch pants are 30 inches inseam or maybe a shade less. Athletic ants are shortened and pinched at the bottoms to prevent entanglement and tripping. In the case of size XL, I assume that the length of the Saucony pant will be no more than the usual shortest length.

    • Answer These pants are not suitable for cold weather runs. Also, they tend to run snug, so keep that in mind. Anything underneath would need to be pretty tight, e.g. not heavy weight first layer. I hope that this helps.
Answered on 1/1/2016 6:40:36 PM by bcsculptor from Indiana
    • Answer Unfortunately, that question can only be answered after the pants are actually used by you. So, in order to not mislead you it might be best to contact the manufacturer if you need the kind of answers that you seek. Maybe they will assume responsibility if the item proves unfavorable for you.

    • Answer They are not very thick and not insulated. However, the material provides a satisfactory wind block. I think these work for winter running as long as your not overly sensitive to cold. They are not tight fitting so you could layer beneath. Hope this helps.

    • Answer Everyone is different with regard to whats "cold". But I think they are fine down to the 20's or teens. And yes you can easily wear a base layer with these. I use these for nordic skiing and will put a base layer on when it gets down to single digits for sure.

  • Question “Are these good for yoga? I bought a pair for my boyfriend to do yoga in.”

Asked on 11/29/2013 5:08:18 PM by TF from Colorado
    • Answer No. They are cut short, have pretty tight fitting ankles and would creep up one's legs will doing yoga poses. They are cold weather running tights and they serve that purpose well.

    • Answer I think they would be great for yoga. The material is stretchy and they fit loosely enough to accommodate the flexibility etc. In fact if you raise the zippers that run up the calf they will be great. As long as you're not doing Bikram yoga in a 107 degree room these pants would be fine.

    • Answer I would think they would work fine for yoga. They have some give and stretch to them.

Answered on 11/30/2013 7:25:27 AM by 40somethingactive from Fayetteville, AR
    • Answer These pants would probably be fine for yoga as they do stretch nicely, rise high above the lower back and can be tightened around the waist using the drawstring. However, I don't do yoga so I can't really know all the requirements you might have for yoga routines. I would say that if you're looking for a pant that can be used for multiple athletic pursuits this is a great choice...especially as it has a relaxed fit as opposed to wearing tights. Also, I have a pair of no-name pants very similar to these that my wife had been borrowing to do yoga and she never had any complaints. Now that I have the Saucony pants I'm guessing she'll be borrowing these! Hope this helps.

    • Answer Sorry, I do not do yoga. But, these fit loosly, with plenty of room in the seat. They also stretch in all the right places and should work well for almost any fitness program, including yoga. BTW, I am 5'9" and weigh 180 lbs with 37" waist & 32" inseam. Size Large fit great. I use them for running and they are my favorite.
