I was looking for a pant that was stretchy, but not skin-tight..a little looseness in the thighs to allow for movement. These are great--I don't really notice them while I'm running, which I guess is what you want, right? Sizing is about right for me..I'm 5'9", and they come just down to the very to... Read More

These are not tights, but they're made of a jersey fabric and are well tapered; good for running, but also for Pilates or yoga, if you're into that. I'm 5-11, 162, with a 31" inseam, and these pants fit perfectly in size small.

These are the second pair that I bought. The sale price was super and the fit is true with plenty of stretch for movement.

The fit is just fine, the fabric stretches with ones stride. Perfect for the job.

These are "Drylight" pants they are different in material and sizing.
The Saucony Boston pants are Polyester 61%, Rayon 33%, Spandex 6%. These are 92% polyester, 8% spandex.
The small Saucony Boston has a 29" inseam. These have 32" inseam on small.
The look/feel of Saucony Boston pants are more of a brushed almost cotton like feel to them and the cut seems
    more tapered.
These are more of satiny like finish and are not cut as well.

This is tough review as they really are decent pants if they work for you and are not expecting the true Boston pants.
I think if they were 29" inseam I would have kept them but the 32" doesnt work for me.
Sigh, have to sent them back.

They are great, fit very nicely, not too tight but nice and trim. I bicycle in them on chilly mornings.

  • Question “Are these good for yoga? I bought a pair for my boyfriend to do yoga in.”
Asked on 11/29/2013 5:08:18 PM by TLUF from Colorado
    • Answer No. They are cut short, have pretty tight fitting ankles and would creep up one's legs will doing yoga poses. They are cold weather running tights and they serve that purpose well.
Answered on 11/29/2013 5:39:49 PM by steck from Vermont
    • Answer I think they would be great for yoga. The material is stretchy and they fit loosely enough to accommodate the flexibility etc. In fact if you raise the zippers that run up the calf they will be great. As long as you're not doing Bikram yoga in a 107 degree room these pants would be fine.

    • Answer I would think they would work fine for yoga. They have some give and stretch to them.

    • Answer These pants would probably be fine for yoga as they do stretch nicely, rise high above the lower back and can be tightened around the waist using the drawstring. However, I don't do yoga so I can't really know all the requirements you might have for yoga routines. I would say that if you're looking for a pant that can be used for multiple athletic pursuits this is a great choice...especially as it has a relaxed fit as opposed to wearing tights. Also, I have a pair of no-name pants very similar to these that my wife had been borrowing to do yoga and she never had any complaints. Now that I have the Saucony pants I'm guessing she'll be borrowing these! Hope this helps.

    • Answer Sorry, I do not do yoga. But, these fit loosly, with plenty of room in the seat. They also stretch in all the right places and should work well for almost any fitness program, including yoga. BTW, I am 5'9" and weigh 180 lbs with 37" waist & 32" inseam. Size Large fit great. I use them for running and they are my favorite.

    • Answer These pants are not lined.
Answered on 12/6/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer The material itself is microfiber, so they provide some protection from cold, but, more important, they wick away sweat and stay dry

  • Question “Are thes good for cycling?”
Asked on 6/27/2010 12:00:00 AM by Anonymous from Unknown
    • Answer These would work for daily commuting or to wear over your shorts as they do not have any padding.
Answered on 6/29/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • Answer Yes, the tapered legs will stay out of the chain and they are thick enough for what I would guess could be comfortable riding from 65F down to 40F depending on wind and wet, but there is no padding of course so not good for long rides w/o chamois.
