The temps during the day were in the 40-50's and the black soaked up the sun well and kept me warm. It was also durable against the rocks, so that is a bonus. The only thing to be aware of is there is a zipper on the collar bone that rubbed against my neck when I was wearing a backpack, so it isn't ideal for backpacking.
