Closeouts. A minimalist design for mild overpronators, Saucony's ProGrid Mirage running shoes have a midfoot support bridge, so it can be worn comfortably as an everyday trainer.

I use these as training shoes for 5-10K runs three or four times a week. Great for transitioning from heel-toe, to more of flat foot or forward contact running.

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Great lightweight runner. Only concern is some of the lightness might have come at the sacrifice of a full rubber outsole. The outsole between the toes and arch seems to be comprised more of that midsole/softer foamy material, it surrounds smaller pieces of firmer outsole rubber. After 8 or so miles on asphalt and cement, there is more wear than I would have hoped.
