4.0 out of 5 stars. Not great for muscular buildsReviewed by MC86 from Seacoast, NH on Monday, December 29, 2014These seemed relatively well-made for the price, and nothing about them stood out to me as a potential chafing issue in the body of the shorts. I loved the blue/black combo.
** Pay close attention to the 18" leg opening measurement** - these will squeeze your thighs down to roughly that circumference, for better or worse. I wish I'd noticed that in the description, because my 22" thighs felt like they had a rubber band around them thanks to the contrast fabric there.
I also do a lot of squatting and deadlifting and have developed some fairly muscular glutes. The material just didn't stretch enough, so the front inseam looked like it was roughly 4" while the back of the shorts looked like it was more like 2".
I'm 5'4" with a 31.5" inseam, an annoyingly short torso, and usually fall somewhere between a M and L for stretchy athletic bottoms (or an 8-10 in jeans). I ordered these in a L.
If you're shaped somewhere between slim and a little curvy and your thighs can handle these, they will be great for you.
