Saucony Vortex Soft Shell Jacket (For Men)

Great jacket. wind proof and water resistant.

I've owned this jacket for a few weeks now and have properly put it through it's paces both during my early morning weekly runs in the dark, and my longer weekend training runs. Bottom line, this jacket has handled everything that has been thrown at it...rain, high winds, and snow, and has performed great. The bright orange color and reflective accents really help with visibility. The material is truly windproof, and keeps me very warm. On runs that have been 20 degrees out, I will typically just wear a long sleeve technical shirt underneath and I stay warm the duration of the run. My only complaint seems to be that this jacket is so "tight" that it doesn't breathe, and all the sweat just builds up within the jacket and seems to 'drain' out the arm holes or pool in near the elbows while I'm running. A small complaint for an otherwise great running jacket.

I bought this jacket for my husband and he loves it. Good, bright color to be seen on early morning runs and biking. He is often cold and this has kept him warm on the runs we have gone on lately. It fits him true to size.

I would have to say, like most Saucony products, everything is at least 1 size small. I call it the runners ego affect. They try to make runners feel bigger than they are. I wear large to xl in t-shirts, sweat shirts, jackets. I had to send this jacket back for an exchange to an xxl. The xl was almost skin tight. But, as always, STP was great and sent me out an exchange immediately and all is well.

Saucony generally runs small so I ordered the extra large. The torso fits fine but the sleeves are better suited for a 37" (I am a 35" sleeve) I initially thought it was a bit heavy, probably because of the lining, But it has served me well on cool foggy mornings on the Maine coast and the waterproofing keeps out the morning fog and drizzle and it does not get clammy (no pun intended)
