I bought the boot for ice climbing and unless I tie the boot too tight where it is cutting off circulation I get heel lift. Other wise good winter boot for regular use.

I am an avid hiker aspiring climber and have used this boot for rugged trail hiking and love the support these offer. The boots are lightweight and durable, great for all around activities. The cons are that if you are a smaller person, me, I'm 5'1 and 95 lbs, it takes a little longer to break them in.

I am starting off mountain climbing and purchased these boots based on their sturdiness and quality and also of the fact that you can purchase crampons for them. I am just starting to break them in and am finding them really good - they appear to be a strong boot and will protect my feet extremely well. Very comfortable, have had no problems with them so far. [...] All round though, I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to using them for a few years.

I got these boots last week. I wasn't sure if I should purchase them or not because I was afraid they'd be terribly heavy. However, that is not the case. I'm 5'9 and 125lbs. They are comfortable on my feet, though they take a bit of getting used to because they are stiff and not padded inside like sneakers. I did read others suggestions about ordering up a 1/2 size. Typically I wear and 8 1/2 but I purchased a 9 and they fit perfectly.

Bought for Search and Rescue in snow and ice. Holds strap on crampons well. First day I wore the boots for 6 hours before I found and had to put a cover over a hot spot.
