I bought these as AT boots but the comfort and power transfer allow me to use these as my daily drivers for lift-served skiing as well. I can charge these just as hard as my full-bore downhill boots with complete confidence. As AT boots they are very comfortable, just the right flex, and they grip rock well and crampons fit very well.

The Scrap Matrix works equally as well in the back country as it does on groomers at the resort. The moldable liner allows for a custom fit to your foot. There are also good adjustments for forward lean and canting. The walk ski latch also avails the skier when skinning up that ridge on way to your BC bowl. Easy fit for step in crampons when you do any ski mountaineering. Too bad they are not available in other colors? Do I need to say anything about the Vibram soles?

The boots feel great and the price is amazing.

The Scarpa's sizing is always strange. the size 27 mondo is it was advertised on at sierra equal 10 US, which is wrong, i looked at Scarpas website for sizing chart and they present 27 mondo as 10 US as well but it at least one size undersized. Scarpa makes an excellent products (I have tele boots T2 for 8 years) BUT sizing needs to be clarified.
