Great quality, great design, perfect fit and true to size on my 7M feet. Have yet to wear the outdoors....seems as though they will provide support for most activities (walking, hiking...). And even though this "test" is still pending, I had to give them 5 stars...happiest I've ever been with a shoe... Read More

My wife loves her Scarpa Mojitos. She's worn them for teaching art to dancing at bluegrass festivals, for urban hikes in Orvieto to daylong stretches on the Appalachian Trail. "The most comfortable sporty shoes I've ever had," she says.

These shoes remind me of some approach shoes I bought in France about 25 years ago. I love what for me is a 'retro' look. And wow are they comfortable. I honestly wasn't sure if they would be but I have been wearing them all over, doing extensive walking/hiking in them right out of the box and I could not be happier.

Purchased for hiking in Alaska this summer. I have worn them and they are really comfortable and I love the style. Originally order size 38 and had to return for 39, I wear US size 8 - 8 1/2.

Excellent shoe, very comfortable and true to size.

I ordered these for hiking. I had my sister look at them, and she commented on the toe laces and how similar they were to a climbing shoe. This is part of the reason that they fit literally like a glove. They are low cut, but provide terrific support. The bottoms are very grippy, and work well on slick rock, and also for traction when I'm walking my mastiff! If you're looking for hiking shoes for an average width foot with a high arch, this is the one! I'd buy another one of these in a heartbeat. :)

  • “Is it Waterproof sboe?”
Asked by cobbler from California on 4/3/2016 6:43:32 AM
    • it doesn't have a GoreTex component, but the suede is pretty water-repelant.
Answered on 4/3/2016 8:16:47 AM by Erin from Maine
    • I haven't put them to the test, but since they are suede, I would say no. Other website reviews I've seen mention waterproofing them, but warn about that darkening the color.

    • No, it is untreated leather to allow better breathability.

    • According to the product specs tab: Non-Waterproof

  • “Can these be reasonably waterproofed?”
Asked by Stella from Oregon on 1/28/2016 2:17:48 AM
    • If you use a suede waterproofing, it could add some waterproofing. However, the tongue is not gusseted, so it probably won't be fully waterproofed.

    • they are somewhat of a hybrid between a hiking shoe and a climbing shoe. they are typically used on easier climbs/steep hikes on the way to the thing you really want to climb. or whatever else you want to use them for.

    • Yes i would recommend ordering a 41 if you usually wear a 9.
Answered on 1/13/2012 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Ryan from Sierra Trading Post
    • I wear a size 9.5US and the 41Euro is a perfect fit with more than sufficient space in toe box.|Arch support is average. Not assertive. The insole is removable so a more substantial arch support could be inserted.
