~200USD cheaper than other sellers. I am to going to use then in central america volcanoes and northeast winter climibing. Feels very warm. Probably good for most mountains below 6000m, except Ecuadorian 6000m peaks since they are all near equitorial line.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. very good winter climbing boots

I got two different size and tried on both. It settled down my normal size 38 and it is same as Scarpa's plastic boots I own . So I said sizing is normal. I am wide foot and normally most European boots is too narrow to fit. This is wider in front and wider in heel. So normal women said it won't fit but it fit well on my wide heel. It is very confrtable. I like the front boots has notch for crampon. I can use one touch crampon on this.
It is lighter than my double booths and good for winter snowshoing and alpine climbing. I will recemend this to my friends.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Didn't fit my feet

My feet are low volume and these wouldn't cinch down tight enough to the them. Also, the 41.5 felt like it ran very small for a 9.5. My toe could hit the end of the boot (and I usually wear a 9). So back they went. They look solidly constructed though and if your feet are the right match they could be good.
  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. Some great features but a difficult fit

These boots are less expensive than other mountaineering boots but I found the fit to be less than ideal. I wear a 9.5/10 and got size 42. The tongue bulges on the inside of the boot and seemed like it would rub on a long climb. The heels are also wide for a women's shoe and no matter how tight I got the laces, my heels slipped. I ended up exchanging these for the La Sportiva Nepals which I found to be much more comfortable. The Scarpas did seem very durable though and would likely keep my fight warm in cold mountain conditions.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Warm, waterproof, no break-in

I've been looking at boots for mountaineering and ice climbing, but since I didn't have any trips planned in the immediate future I was holding off. I was invited on a snowshoeing/ice climbing trip in the Adirondacks just over a week out, and I decided to go with these boots with no time to break them in. I was out for about 10 hours hiking and climbing in the snow and ice, and these boots kept my feet warm and comfortable with no sock changes necessary. I had absolutely no blisters or discomfort after a full day of vigorous activity. I think they look great, too. Highly recommend.
