These boots are tough to find at any discount and the price here was amazing. These are great quality plastic double mountaineering boots. Watch the sizing, as UK+1 = US and they can run narrow. I'm looking forward to getting a lot of mileage out of these.

I found them to fit slightly narrow when I walked around the house but when I started to go uphill on a trail then they bothered me. I took them to a place with an oven and they heated the liners so I was able to form them somewhat and now the fit is acceptable. I also had to get my feet used to the boots.

To bad was not able try in the snow and ice. Don't know how warm they would be. They are light and confortable with a liner sock, but boot to small and narrow for me, had to send back.

I returned several different pairs boots before settling on the Scarpa Omegas. They feel less clunky, and the foam inserts are noticeably warmer than my old double plastic boots. I have not yet heat moulded the liners, but the instructions are included. After one use in the Adirondack Mountains, they are very comfortable with no fit problems. These are said to be crampon compatible and they worked fine, but I am puzzled by the lack of green dot on the sole that I thought was the standard way to designate compatiblity.

Other reviews very helpful. Have a slightly narrow foot and this boot fit just right on width. Normally have a size 12 boot so ordered Euro 11.5/US 12.5 boot at it fit great with a little extra room around toes for heavy socks if needed. Thermo molded in oven and then off for 6 mile climb. No hot spots, very comfortable.

bought these double boots when i was having trouble keeping my feet warm wearing my nepals. these boots kept my feet nice and warm on a single digit day with 30 mph winds above treeline my only gripe is that the front wore hard on my shins requiring me to stop and adjust, not fun with gaiters on but after loosening they felt better. hoping they will break in with a few more hours otherwise you cant beat these boots for this price, thanks sierra for another great deal.

I've guided alpine ice and snow routes in these for several seasons and can't be happier. Plastic is not dead with these boots, they work just as well as the spantiks I've used and they're a heck of a lot more durable and easier to care for than their "modern" replacements. Great for cold days ice climbing and not bad at all for hiking.
