“I have used this product for year round alpine climbing, ice climbing, and mountaineering in the Washington, Oregon, and California Cascades. The boots were comfortable right out of the box and fit my moderately wide foot perfectly. They are warm enough for winter alpine climbing in the Cascades (except Mt Rainier). The ankle is supportive without being unforgiving. They hike very well.
One small complaint is the sole flexes slightly at the ball of the toe when climbing very steep ice (i.e. overhanging) while wearing flexible crampons. Using rigid crampons like the original Grivel Rambos solves this problem.”
