Reviewed by beej from Reno, NV on Monday, December 03, 2012These shoes work great for me as an all around climbing shoe. It's not real aggressive, but aggressive enough for moderate bouldering. What I really like about this shoe is how comfortable it is. I could see myself getting a little more aggressive shoe in the future, but not the shoes fault. I would definately recommend.

Reviewed by WillDerDude from Bothell, WA on Monday, October 15, 2012I climb mostly trad and some sport up to hard 5.10's, and I purchased this shoe to be my comfy multi-pitch trad shoe. It performs well for crack and face climbing, and edges decently. Fit seems true to size (I ordered mine 1/3 size below street shoe size to allow for some stretch). It's a great all-around shoe for multi-pitching.

Question “Is there any difference between the mens' and womens' versions of the Scarpa Techno OTHER than the color? The descriptions look identical, though I would have thought that the mens' would be wider or something. I am a female, but frankly, I'm digging the "Ginkgo" scheme the guys got in this model! I do have low-volume feet, so fit is important. If any other gals (or guys with narrow feet) out there have tried this shoe, I'd appreciate your insight.”

Answer there is not much a difference. The size might be just a little bigger for the men's. But if you just order a size or two down, you should be fine. Enjoy
