Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I bought one pair because of the great price. After wearing them for a month I knew how upset I will be when eventually this style will no longer be available. Isn't that always the way it goes? You realize too late the greatest pair of shoes you own can no longer be found? Well, it's not going to happen to me this time. I bought a second pair and put them in the closet. After 1 1/2 years the first pair is no where near needing to be replaced! These are sturdy, comfortable boots that look great. Pick up a pair, or two, today! I promise you will never regret it.

I got these boots an hour before my trip. I wore them inside while getting ready and decided to take the chance and wear them on my several day trekking tour in the rough Greenlandic mountains. It turned out to be the best pair of trekking boots I have owned (I live in the middle of the mountains and have never been satisfied with boots until now) - the grip was superior no matter if I was walking on wet stepping stones, boulders or rocky slopes. I did get a little sore in the beginning but only because the sole doesn´t bend, and after a good nights sleep, I was ready again and no one would have guessed that I had just walked for 5 hours with a heavy backpack the day before. The material is excellent - very strong but still soft and good looking design.
