I've been using these shoes for almost 2 years now, I think I'm on my 4th pair. I climb indoors and outdoors, sport and bouldering. I have found these shoes to be about a 1/2 size smaller that what you would expect and they are definitely tight in the toe area, but it's what you want. I love how they will stick to the smallest edge and the heel hooking is great! The velcro straps make getting them on and off a breeze!!

I use the shoe for mostly indoor rock wall climbing and some outdoor bouldering. The bottom of the front part of the shoe is more reinforced and allows for better push off and support. A must buy for climbers, make sure the fit is good, shoe stretches a little but not a lot.

I probably shouldn't review these yet since I haven't had a chance to climb in them but there are a few things I felt worth saying right off the bat. 1- fit: I am a woman. I wear size 9.5 (women's) or 41 shoes in standard shoes. I ordered size 40.5 and these fit exactly as I would have wanted. The width feels fine, conformed to my foot, and my toes are scrunched into the toe, just as I wanted. I'm happy with having ordered 1/2 size down from my typical shoe size.
2- quality: I am absolutely satisfied with the leather, soles, and craftsmanship. they fit like a glove and really feel like they will be a good 'all-around' climbing shoe. It's also a great looking shoe.

This is my second pair of Scarpa Veloce. I used them three times a week in the gym or outdoor. They are very comfortable and have great grip on the wall.

I searched and searched to find reviews as to sizing. I'm a 9 1/2 mens street shoe and went with the 42's. Yes they're tight, but they are supposed to be. Use this to figure out the size difference. Hopefully it helps. They're very well made and look great! love the velcro over laces any day!

I mostly climb on a gym rock wall and bouldering wall so I have really no outdoor experience but these shoes are great for getting friction anywhere. They fit to my foot like they were made for them and you really can point in these shoes! Buy them!

I ordered these shoes for a girlfriend who's just starting out. She's used them just twice now but likes them, says they fit great. She'd tried on some different Scarpas in a retail store, and liked the fit. Since she's just starting, and I know Scarpas generally fit in line with street shoe sizing, I ordered here one half size over her Euro street shoe size. She says there's no air in the heel cup, snug, but not painful, which is what we'd hoped for.

So, I first purchased these for women (because I am a woman) and LOVED THEM but love the orange color better (did I mention I was female)... I order them a 1/2 size smaller than my street shoe and they are a bit tight but not so painful I can't handle it. They do stretch a little after a couple of weeks but the velcro keeps them snug against my feet. They stick on little ledges wonderfully.

I bought these as an alternative to my down-turned shoes; as more of an all-day, long-route shoe. I got them 1.5 sizes smaller than my street shoe, and while they toe fairly well, there's more lateral movement inside the shoe than I'd like.
The toebox is noticeably wider than that of other comparable (velcro closure) Scarpa shoes I've worn (length-wise, about the same sizing as the Force, about a 1/2 size larger than the Vapor V). I have narrow feet, and Scarpa tends to be a good fit for me; although it's hard to get a lot more adjustment around the toes due to the velcro closure. It makes them comfortable, and while not super-sensitive, I wouldn't say that they feel entirely clunky.
The heelcup is decent, much better than the Force (which was the only drawback to that shoe). The 'fore is stiff, almost clog-like (note earlier, the line on sensitivity: which isn't good or bad, just depends on what you're looking for).
These would make a great beginner shoe.
Honestly, I wouldn't pay the full-price MSRP for the Veloces, but if you get a good deal on them, I'd highly recommend them.
