While the boot was attractive, it was a bit stiff for my taste, especially in the ankle area.

Scarpa means quality, this is an Italian made serious hiking boot. I prefer this model over a Gore Tex one, because it breaths better. unless your constantly hiking through streams, etc. you really don't need Gore Tex. this boot is very water resistant and more comfortable under serious conditions that a Gore Tex one.

This seems to be a nice shoe. I intend to wear them everyday and on easy hikes with my children. I really like the styling and that they are waterproof. When I got the shoes and tried them on, I was dissapointed to find out thst they cut into the bottom of my outer right ankle. Also, I expected something with more cushioning. I had to send them back and ordered another pair of tried and true Merrells.

it is a good shoe. the grip could be better. the toe box is stiff so it has great support for stemming but lacks a good angle to use for edgeing which makes it problamatic at times for bouldering a traverse.with the grip suspect i would hesitate for outside. overall a good shoe, probably best for a gym workout use. still working it out to see it's true potential.

A beautiful example of old world boot craft. I suspect these will be the last pair of hiking boots I will need for years and years, maybe the rest off my life.

These are a good trail shoe, but were too narrow at the toes for me. But would probly fit a normal medium width foot. Good quality shoe.
