Schneiders Anika Angora Coat (For Women)

This coat is beautiful; its cut and how it shapes are perfect. It looks better in real life than it does in the picture. While the traditional A-line coats have been meant to be worn with a skirt, this coat looks great with either a skirt or trousers. It can be dressed up or down. The fabric, the buttons and the workmanship are the first class (although, I wouldn't mind a higher content of angora in it). It's not a surprise that Schneider's is recognized in Europe as the ultimate quality. I have more than 10 wool coats, most of them are Italian, but Schneider's Anika has become my instant favourite. Regarding the sizing, it is true to US sizes but runs large for European sizes. I am US size 4 and the coat is US size 4 – it fits me perfectly; this size is listed as European 34, while it fits like European 36 – but I found it common with Austrian and Bavarian cloths. Good quality, light weighted but thinner than I thought. Not warm enough for really cold winter. If you are looking for early spring or late fall, it is great. I was looking for a heavier coat as it appears on the picture.

I sent this back because I was hoping for a more elegant coat - the fabric was just beautiful, the talioring was gorgeous, but the cut and topstiching seemed just a little too casual for what I was hoping for. I was really sorry because of this coat's other virtues.

I live in Europe and normally buy European brands. I wear a standard Euro 40 sizing for Germany, and it fits perfectly. This coat was too small. If I was wearing *only* a thin t-shirt, it would fit, but otherwise, no. All Euro coats I try on in the shops are sized to be worn over minimally a light/medium sweater. There was no way to do that with this coat. I have returned the coat for a size 42 to see if it will fit properly. I hope so, as the fabric was gorgeous, and the design was exceptional.

Unbelievably beautiful coat! Very lightweight but still warm. Fabric and construction are exceptional. Perfect for business travel - very versatile length and cut. Love it!!

The coat's sizing is off. European sizing shows it should be an American 8, but is is listed as 10. Size up.

This is the perfect feminine coat which will take you anywhere - dress it up or down, you will always look like a lady!
