This coat is beautiful; its cut and how it shapes are perfect. It looks better in real life than it does in the picture. While the traditional A-line coats have been meant to be worn with a skirt, this coat looks great with either a skirt or trousers. It can be dressed up or down. The fabric, the buttons and the workmanship are the first class (although, I wouldn't mind a higher content of angora in it). It's not a surprise that Schneider's is recognized in Europe as the ultimate quality. I have more than 10 wool coats, most of them are Italian, but Schneider's Anika has become my instant favourite. Regarding the sizing, it is true to US sizes but runs large for European sizes. I am US size 4 and the coat is US size 4 – it fits me perfectly; this size is listed as European 34, while it fits like European 36 – but I found it common with Austrian and Bavarian cloths. Sierra, thank you for carrying this brand.

Purchased as a dressy casual coat, suitable for wear with a suit, but primarily for use with a sport coat or sweater. I now plan to use as a travel coat. Despite some of the other reviews, I found the material and constuction quality high.

An outstanding classic coat to wear over a suit in cold weather. Classic style in a well made package. European Craftsmanship not the Chinese corner cut school of tailoring.

great coat

Great coat but I ordered it too large and had to return it.

Good quality, light weighted but thinner than I thought. Not warm enough for really cold winter. If you are looking for early spring or late fall, it is great. I was looking for a heavier coat as it appears on the picture.

Absolutely the best...but watch the sizing. I luckily ordered the 46(US)as it was largest they had and worried it would be too small. It fitted perfectly after I had the sleeves shortened. I usually go 48-50!

description was right on but I bought it hoping it would be a bit more of a raincoat than it was--nice looking and stylish, just a very lightweight overcoat but not much protection from the weather/rain.

I sent this back because I was hoping for a more elegant coat - the fabric was just beautiful, the talioring was gorgeous, but the cut and topstiching seemed just a little too casual for what I was hoping for. I was really sorry because of this coat's other virtues.
