[...] The saddle was defective and had to buy new one. The bike must weigh about 30lbs, not great for climbing. Aside from mediocre components, a reliable cross-country bike. Frame accepts upgrades such as disc brakes.

I intended using this bike for aggressive trail riding and had a hard time keeping this bike on the trail . . . it was really sloppy through turns, extremely rough through rocky sections, and does not land well. On the other hand, it does climb well, really well, but coming back down is a bit scary due to the frame geometry. I would not take this bike out in the mountains, keep it in town where it belongs.
