Is absorbent but too large for me for backpacking. I leave it in the car for the after backpacking clean up. Good quality.

Great for wringing out clothes after washing when traveling.
I was surprised it worked so well.

I've been swimming every week day morning. I like a large towel to dry myself after showering and another to dry my hair so I bought two.. This towel is perfect for me. It weighs ounces so my gym bag isn't heavy (neck issues necessitate light carrying loads). it absorbs water well. When wet, it isn't heavy and doesn't feel wet. I hang it up at home and I am amazed at how fast it dries.

Initially, I didn't like the feel out of it, perhaps because the texture is so different from a regular towel. After the first time, I was comfortable with the texture.

I bought bright orange (the picture is the true color). There's little chance of my losing the towel.

The orange color ran again and again when washed alone in the sink. I tried to set the color with salt and vinegar. We'll see if it continues to run. I would keep that in mind before throwing it in the wash with other items. Other than that, a great towel for the intended use (camping).

About Sea To Summit

The idea behind Sea to Summit started back in 1990 when an ambitious Aussie named Tim Macartney-Snape hiked solo from India’s Bay of Bengal all the way to the top of Mount Everest -- without oxygen. Tim’s expedition, the first-ever sea-to-summit ascent of Everest (8,848 meters of elevation gain), took four months. After returning to Australia, Tim and friend Roland Tyson launched the Sea to Summit brand with the intent to produce innovative, lightweight and well-made outdoor gear for fellow adventurers. Today, Sea to Summit dry bags, sleeping bags, multi-purpose tarps and paddling accessories are sold all over the world.
