5.0 out of 5 stars. Seaguar is the BestVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jim, Eagle river fly fisher from Colorado on Wednesday, April 19, 2017I have used many other fluorocarbon tippets, but always return to Seaguar. It does not fail with the sudden shock of a big fish hooked. It is supple, meaning that it is flexible and not as stiff as some fluorocarbon material. For me this means that knots are a bit easier to tie and it gives a bit more motion to flies when drifting in the current. It is also strong particularly in cold winter fishing conditions.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Seaguar is the bestVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jim, Eagle river fly fisher from Colorado on Wednesday, March 15, 2017I have tried other tippet, but always come back to Seaguar. It has the knot strength and abrasion resistance that is superior to other fluorocarbon.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Best Steelheading TippetVerified Buyer Reviewed by VT11 from Chicago on Thursday, February 2, 2017My previous favorite was Rio Flouroflex Plus but switched to Grand Max because of the knot strength. 2x as a tippet for high stick nymphing and 2-3' of 0x for swinging with a 300 grain sink tip. I also use the 02x on my saltwater 3-way rigs.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Definitely the best tippet on the marketVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jim, Eagle river fly fisher from Colorado on Thursday, September 11, 2014I have used many other brands of fluorocarbon tippet and always return to GMAX. It has the best know strength of any like that I have used. Also the small diameter of the 7X, does not sink through the water surface when using dry flies.
