These were very comfortable when recently used on an 8 mile hike coming down from 10,700 feet where we woke up to 4 inches of snow on a late season backpacking trip. My feet felt warm and comfortable walking through the snow and slush. Good piece of gear to have in your kit.

I really wanted to like these socks - I mean waterproof socks how cool is that!

Good point- after two wearings they are keeping the feet dry at least through damp grass and puddles. Caveat I have not tried a stream crossing yet.

Bad points - the socks tend to slip down to the ankles. They also require a little adjusting when putting them on as the heel does have to be placed perfectly or they will rub. They feel tight, I'd say on the small side, but after three mile hike I had no blisters or hot spots.

Finally, they are not cheap, even on my favorite place to buy discounted merchandise.

I may revisit this rating once I've done a couple more hikes and done some serious stream walking, but for now waterproof boots work better for dry feet.

I had wanted to try these since I had heard about them at the Outdoor Retailer Show. I tried them for the first time while waiting in the early morning for a tree permit. The temperature was above freezing but I am usually a little chilly on the toes. The socks kept my toes toasty for the couple hours I was hanging out and talking with a friend. I am likely to buy another pair.

I use these for bike commuting in the rain. My trip is 13 miles so around an hour. Sometimes that is in constant drizzle to rain situations. So far these do not let the water in, nor do they feel cold when wet which is sometimes the case with "waterproof" gear. They are preformed as I imagine the waterproof barrier could not stretch like a normal sock, but for my 11.5 size foot the Size Large fits great. No bunching, slop, or rub inside my clipless cycling shoes. I will probably buy another pair, but I can't attest for their durability or how well they wash. I've been using them for 2 weeks is all....
