I have one for my touch I pod and got this one for a friend's smart phone. A bit clunky, but works.

My wife asked, "why can't you just use a ziplock?", until the DDD 02 arrived. The pack is well made & the right size for my Blackberry phone. Worth the price, and piece of mind.

I got this to protect my iPhone 5 from dirt and rain while on archaeology projects out in the field, and also for hiking and backpacking. You can attach it to your pack or bag straps with the superstrong velcro strap. It can be removed from this strap and then reattached easily. There is also this coil tether that you can use to make sure it stays near to what you attached it to. If attached to your pack strap, the tether is long enough to raise your phone to your head - handy if you happen to be standing on a cliff! I'm unsure how secure the coil tether is however. My iPhone 5 with an OtterBox Commuter case on it still fits in this case. I don't think one in the Defender case would. A Samsung Galaxy might fit. You can remove all the strap fittings and just have it as a protective bag so that you can keep your phone in your pocket.

You really can use the phone while it is in the case and that is pretty cool. Pressing the buttons on the top of the phone and the front round button take some work because of the bag but the actual screen use works well.

The verdict is still out for durability in the long haul but other Seattle Sports items I have, have been durable. I would not use this as the sole protection for my phone on a canoe trip. This would serve as a first layer and then I'd make sure it was in another dry bag.
