Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

Only been out once with it so far, but it survived flying out of the back of the pickup and bumping briefly down the highway and then an extended submersion in the Okeefenokee swamp (with just a pack towel in it to test that it hadn't torn through after the highway incident). I'd say that's pretty darn good. Perfect size for all your gear for a long weekend if you're a light packer.

keeps your gear dry
a hip strap would take the weight off your shoulders
the shoulder straps ripped after 8 years (1 week per) use
but for the price, you can buy 5 of these

My son is deployed in Afghanistan and asked for a waterproof bag . The winter weather changes quickly and he keeps his critical gear in this bag inside his assault pack. Talked to him last night and he had been caught in a storm. Without this bag, it would have been a long, cold, wet night. Well done on a great product.

We are in an evacuation area and need to be prepared to leave. We needed a bag to be waterproof, easy to carry and large enough to hold the essentials. This bag does it all!

Does the job, Easy To Carry, Good Capacity, Waterproof
Cons:
Thin material
Best Uses:
Camping, Paddling
Describe Yourself:
Recreational
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I bought two of these for use in the canoe and possibly camping. i know that this brand is quality. I have seen similar products go for more than twice the price. However, they are likely thicker material versus the thinness of this one. However, I treat my equipment with the intentions of keeping for a long time. I am concerned about the straps holding out but seems the bonding process is good. Don't overload this product and don't expect to portage for long periods of time as it's not meant for comfort. I wouldn't use around jagged rocks or let your dog play with the straps. :) I know this will do the job in the canoe as long as I roll the top and cinch tightly. It's easy to burp the air because the material is plyable enough to do so. Leave some air for floatation in case you tip. Happy trails.
