“Took to BWCA canoing and kept clothes, sleeping bag etc. dry. When it rains you can leave bag outside and not have to bring everything in the tent. Also it would be useful if you carry your camping supplies in an open trailer (without fears of it getting wet). Also was used to carry food and was hung from a tree to keep away from bears. I don't know, but because it is water proof it may emit less food odors than a regular back pack.”
