I have purchased 6 of these now. I have 3 horses and have purchased 3 in green and 3 in blue. I use the blue ones for water and the green ones for feed. I use it to flocculate (alum) silty water like the Green and San Juan rivers. After settling the silt out; filter, dose or irridate (steriPEN) to remove pesky pathogens and you are ready to stay hydrated. Leaks in the fabric can be patched with Tenacious Tape or Tear-Aid Tape.

I bought this to serve as a dog watering dish, but I would think the same difficulty relate to it as used as a sink too. The problem is that it kept tipping over. sure you can prop it up with rocks or maybe when you put pots or pans in it to anchor it down, but that's just not easy. It seems to have a solid build but the convenience is just not there. Also, a little to heavy for most backpacking expeditions.

I have only used this for a few weeks, but it has proved to be very useful as I have used it to store my wet/muddy gear in after fishing. Collapses nicely in the back of the car when not in use and then is easy to wash inside when I am done. A lot better then using plastic grocery sacks to store wet shoes/pants in.
