not as easy to use. Why? If you have a big SUV which is more 6.5 feet in height, how do you move the fully packed pack to the roof of the SUV ? You can't. So you need to put the empty pack to roof first then load up your stuff. Then the roof is too high to organize things in the pack. And since the pack is heavy, durable and big capacity plus the material is thick, it's not easy to zip. But overall it adds the capacity to your car, it will be very helpful for smaller cars/SUVs.

I've used one other type of car-top "bag" before, and this one is far superior. It rode atop the car for about ten hours of highway driving and I didn't have to tighten the straps or worry about it once. It may not be better than the hard cargo carriers, but for a zipper-bag it is great quality.

We have a Chevy Blazer and two kids - there just isn't enough room sometimes to fit all that we need. This bag fits our vehicle very well, and it gives us the extra room we need. It is thick vinyl and completely water proof. Not long after we got on the road on it's first trip, we hit rain. When we got to our destination 7 hours later, everything was still dry! Exactly what I was looking for.

Not used yet but should be fine for a weeks vacation on our wagon with a roof basket. I own several Seatle Sports bags and they are well made and have been reliable.

Good quality construction, and heaver weight and larger than I expected. Good straps and clips for attaching to roof. Should be waterproof as it appears
