I was so happy with the white pair that I ordered the tortoise pair thinking they were the same except different color frames. While the frames are the same, just different colors, the lenses are not the same. The white pair has the 555nm lenses as described in the STP description. They are great in bright conditions. The tortoise pair, however, does not have 555nm lenses. It comes with 2/3 lenses specified for cloudy, not-so-bright conditions. Actually, I am thrilled about this discrepancy because the frames are perfect for my face, and now I have one pair for certain bright conditions and one pair for not-to-bright conditions. However, I think STP should make this distinction in the description of this product.

Glass lenses, polarized without creating viewing weirdness, photochromatic with strong light blocking when needed, I have a larger face and these fit perfect. I've owned several pairs of serengeti sunglasses and I am very committed to this brand due to quality, durability, and viewing excellence, so I was anxious to see how they had improved their line in the last 5 years. I was amazed by this product. Easily the best sunglasses I have ever owned, including previous serengeti glasses. I like the glass lenses which are flawless and work well. Even in the car I get exceptional light blocking with these sunglasses. If you like the retro-look, which I do, I predict great satisfaction. The previous viewer had issue with the size of the case, but to be honest, I like the bulkiness for the car...easy to find. But at $250 list, I get why they made a bomb-proof case. It will be a bit bulky on trips. But I'm sure I have another case that will do for travel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, especially with the extra discount coupon.
