Reviewed by Bluegrass Shopper from Bluegrass Country, Kentucky on Thursday, June 6, 2013I was looking for a longer heavy duty rod to take to the beach for surf fishing and ordered this rod. This is a very sturdy rod with a good economy reel. The price I paid here is less than the rod alone sells for on sale at other places. I am very pleased overall with my purchase. Quality is good and the value was great. Now to catch the big fish! Note: You may want to order some fishing line with your order.

“What is the "power rating, line rating and lure size"? It is usually imprinted on the rod just above the cork handle. i.e. H=heavy, M=medium, ML=medium light, line=6 to 12 lbs., lures=1/4 to 5/8 ounce.”
It is a MH, Line 12-30 lb test, Lure Wt. 1-4 oz.
