These are great shoes, with a stiff sole that can mount multiple types of cleats. Until I got these I hadn't realized the degree to which Shimano had created a product management mess with their cleats and pedals, but it's a bit of a train wreck. The "Universal" variant of these Sidi Genius shoes can accept both the SPD-SL cleats that I use on my bike, and any of several SPD (as in SPD "plain") cleats that I use in a spinning class. NB: not all versions of the shoe have "Universal" soles, and I'm not sure the pictures always match the text - be sure that your shoe and cleat are compatible before you buy. The Universal sole provides a total of seven threaded holes for cleat mounting, two pairs of which can slide longitudinally within the sole. The shoes themselves are quite expensive, but my experience is that (road) cycling shoes just don't wear out. I tried without any luck to find a local store that had a good supply of Sidis, but finding a narrow width was out of the question. Sierra Trading Post not only had my rare size in stock, but also offered them at a substantial discount to the list price that was almost universal at other retail AND online stores. There's some debate as to whether these shoes run tight/small or not. From my experience road bike shoes should fit very snugly, not with a lot of extra room like a running shoe. My foot measures on a Brannock at 9B (US),which is roughly a 43 Narrow European. I bought 42.5N Sidis, and they fit quite snugly, but without any discomfort. I'd guess the units I bought from STP are models from a year or two ago, but who cares? [...] Highest marks for the shoes [...].

I love these shoes. I was putting up with some shoes that were not wide enough for my feet because I didn't want to spend $200-300 on shoes. Then it started to get cold and my feet HURT, and then I found these on sale in Wide. They are super comfortable and plenty wide for my EEEE feet. If you have wide feet the price is definately worth it. Your feet will thank you after 3 hours spinning the petals.

I was hesitant to spend more on cycling shoes than my everyday shoes, but after continuous numbness/circulation problems in my feet, I finally bit the bullet and got these. Totally worth it. They are very comfortable, allow very positive tightening and the narrow width option is key for getting a good fit. I normally wear a 43-43.5 or US9.5-10, but I followed the fit recommendation (44.5) from Sierra Trading Post's website and it was perfect. Thus these must run approximately a full euro-size small.

Great shoe and glad I bought the wide. I am normally just between a wide or normal and in this case the wide fits perfectly. The shoe is top notch, fits like a second skin. I wear my MTB shoes for commuting and tooling around town because they are easy to walk in, these babies will be used for training and long distance rides, I highly recommend them.

I tried on SIDI shoes at [...] and a 44 fit perfectly. I then ordered a 44 from Sierra Trading Post and it was way too small! Maybe sticking with the US sizing would work but the European sizes are wrong!
