Reviewed by PT from Texas on Thursday, December 26, 2013It did better than expected. It was 13 F in the badlands of New Mexico after a "blue norther" came through. I was warm and comfortable in the bag. Excellent product.
Reviewed by PT from Texas on Wednesday, July 31, 2013I like the waterproof fabric because a rarely sleep in a tent. Dew and such in the morning can be a problem with a down bag, but not with this bag. Works great for how I use it... I stay warm and dry.
Reviewed by Tall Camper from Colorado on Tuesday, July 30, 2013I purchased this sleeping bag after trying two others which didn't work for me. The two main issues I'm concerned with are length of bag (I'm 6'7") and zipper functionality. The bag is perfect length for me at my height and the zipper doesn't catch at all, as there is a good, sturdy zipper guard. Also, this bag is very warm and comfortable. We ran into some rainy, cold weather one night, and I slept like a log! I highly recommend this excellent sleeping bag to anyone looking for good value. A bag like this around $200 is a great value in my opinion.
Reviewed by Bavarian by nature from Pennsylvania on Tuesday, April 16, 2013Just received this bag and together with my new Big Agnes Q-Core SL sleeping pad this feels like lying on a cloud. I am 6'3" 190 lbs and the bag fits me very nice. Have enough room and it's just super comfortable. Quality is great too in my opinion. The white sack it comes with for storage at home is made out of cotton, nothing fancy but it does the job. The sleeping bag also comes with what seems a water resistant nylon stuff bag. I tried it out and it did fit in the bottom compartment of my backpack but I had to squeeze it a little since it is about 15-16" long. I will use a Sea to Summit compression sack, the 14 liter one I have seems to fit nice but don't go any smaller (will probably end up using my 20l and give the 14l to my girlfriend). The weight with compression sack was about 3lbs 6oz which makes the specified weight of 3lbs 4oz for the sleeping bag alone sound realistic. In the compression sack the bag measures about 13" x 8.5". I could make it another inch shorter but I don't want to overdo it. It's a nice bag for tall people.... I would buy it again.
Reviewed by Neil Nelly from Greensboro, NC on Tuesday, February 5, 2013This is a very nice sleeping bag. I'm 6'1", 180 lbs and it's roomy without having too much dead space to keep warm. It seems that Sierra Designs has gone towards the "Dri Down" technology and moved away the waterproof fabric that this bag uses, probably so they could bring the price down a bit. This bag is a better option compared to the Dri-Down. The shell is solid and seems durable. I expect to be using this bag for many years.
