Sierra Designs Cyclone Rain Parka - Waterproof (For Women)

My daughter needed a lightweight waterproof jacket for everyday use and to pack on backpacking trips and day hikes. This product meet all criteria and looks nice too. I may order one for myself in time.

I use this jacket for hiking or walking in the rain. Great value for price and very stylish. My only complaint is that it doesn't have critically taped seams though there is a rain flap that secures over the zipper. Also, the neck fits a little loosely and makes it easier for rain to get in. I don't hike in the rain that often so it's great for those rainy days without breaking the bank.

nice fit, great color, lightweight - good for summer or mild temps. Question if truly waterproof in downpour. Hood would be more beneficial if it extended further over the face. Great price, overall good product for price

It hasn't been rainy and warm enough yet to wear this nice rain jacket. I like it alot--it's a great color, style, and fit. ...but unfortunately the zipper doesn't catch properly at the bottom. (I have to fiddle with it alot to zip it). Also for a rain hood...it doesn't cover the head well.

It's a good color and it is wind-resistant, but I had trouble with the zipper straightaway. It was hard to get the zipper started, perhaps due to the length of the jacket, and it kept sticking until one day I couldn't get it off without the help of a shopkeeper in a shoe repair shop. It's a bottom-up, top-down zipper which is more difficult to repair in place so rather than have a new zipper sewn in, I use the velcro fasteners, which aren't great. I wear it, but bought another jacket to wear in heavier weather.

This is quite long and rather tight. I ordered the XS, and I'm 5'1", 98 pounds. I like it, but it does fit a little strangely. Also, as some others have said, the pockets feel a little low.

This is a great jacket! My 17 year old daughter is extremely concerned about how a garment looks and feels. She has been through several jackets that Dad thought were first class - dumped them all. She loves this jacket and everything about it! Even wears it to high school in Colorado and looking forward to using it in college in Washington.

Runs small. I normally wear size 4 and ordered both small and medium. Had to return small. Medium fits fine over a sweatshirt. Double zipper is useful but can be hard to get started. Inside of parka feels ok against bare arms, not slimy like some rain jackets. Light blue color looks nice.

I am petite, 5'2" and 110 lbs; this coat fit great for me.Most Small's are really too large for me. I would recommend most women order a size up unless you are petite.
