I tested this bivy sack in a snow cave we had to make for a class. It worked great! The bivy added extra warmth to my bag and kept me dry through the night. I noticed mosture starting to build up at the top of the bivy, but it collected at the very top of the bivy, so my pillow was protecting me from being exposed to it.

I have used the bivy twice. Once during an 8" snow storm and another time on the snow during a cloudless night. I kept the bivy over my head but open on the end so moisture could get out but snow was kept out. No condensation at all. Sturdy zippers. Pad fit inside. Had to shake snow off at times. Roomy for other small gear. Put my boots in garbage bag outside.

The Didean Bivy worked well and I'm sure added some extra warmth to my winter stay in the White Mountains. For the cost this bivy was great. My only gripe is that it collected some moisture and could probably breath a little better. Moisture and cold don't exactly mix well.

This is a nice Bivy, and I would recommend it. Make sure to use a tarp with this sack and I am sure it will last for many seasons. It's lightweight and roomy enough. The no see-um bug screen is a nice touch. I have used this bag for back country ski touring, winter camping and light mountaineering.

The fabric is a little thinner than I wanted but I am happy with this bivy otherwise; it is lightweight, and has a nice screen window to get some air if the bugs are bad. Have used it several times already winter camping inside a tent and it helped keep me warm. I like that it keeps my sleeping bag clean and dry. Looking forward to really testing it out this summer!

The zipper/fly design at the head of this bivy doesn't seem at all water resistant. The zipper cover-flap (for the mesh) points toward the sky. So, if it rains, water will be funneled right into the bivy sack. Sent it back.
