    Pros:
    Great color purple
    Cons:
Weird fit due to pit vent
    Best Uses:
    Daily Wear, Hiking
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I love the dark purple color, and it appears to be fully waterproof, so no issues there. It did seem like there was a little bit of snuggness around the midsection/chest area because of the design of the armpit vents, but my normal size still fit over two relatively thin layers. Also, the "breathable" liner doesn't seem so breathable, but it's nice and warm for a rain jacket.

It fits more towards the 4 then 6 in size. Zipper doesn't feel like it will last.

    Pros:
Ample pocketspace, Lightweight yet effective, Multiple drawcords, Warm lining, Waterproof
    Cons:
    No stowaway for hood
    Best Uses:
Cool temperature, Light to medium rain
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This is a pretty sweet jacket for the great deal I got on it. The fit is more of a form fitted type, not baggy but room enough to layer underneath. The lining is a very lite fleece type layer which breathes and keeps you a bit warmer when you need it. Nice hood, there is no stow away zip pocket, but it's no big deal. Great closure at neck and wrists. Good drawcords and hemcords..it locks down well. Also has zipper pit vents. VERY functional. I was lucky enough to get one in the Eggplant color which is quite attractive. Great jacket for under $40.

    Pros:
    Appearance, Comfort, Convenience, Fit, Functionality
    Best Uses:
    Travel, Wet weather
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I've used it for the past two days in cool, extremely wet weather and have stayed dry and warm. The lining serves a dual purpose of wicking as well as warmth so I'm able to transition from outside to inside w/o having to add a layer or remove. Sizing is generous which is great if you need to add a layer for cold conditions but not too large that you need to go down a size. Travel pouch comes in handy (you can keep it in one of the inside zippered pockets). Only downside is that the hood is slightly small if you have a large head.

    Pros:
Good sleeve length, Gorgeous color, Lightweight, Lined, Nice fit
    Best Uses:
All-around raincoat, Light hiking, Running errands, Walking the dog
    Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I needed to replace a raincoat that I wrecked by washing it in the washing machine (per the label instructions). Actually I've never found a raincoat that I liked as well as an old North Face raincoat, but I had had an ultralight Sierra Designs raincoat before and it fit decently (I'm about 5'10", thin, and often have trouble with sleeves being too short), so I thought I would give this coat a try. Definitely my 2nd favorite, if not absolute favorite, raincoat ever! I wouldn't mind if it was a little more fitted, but it is definitely semi-fitted, long enough, fairly flattering, and has sleeves that are a decent length even if I straighten my hands in front of me or over my head. The hood is really nicely constructed, so that it has a nice little visor effect over your face, but without being too tight or looking ridiculous or nerdy. It can be tightened from the back, which seems to work really well. So far I have only worn it in moderate rain, not a downpour, but it's kept me nice and dry. The lining of the coat runs throughout, and it's light but gives that extra bit of insulation that is really nice to have when it's below 55 degrees or so. I haven't really exerted myself while wearing this coat, but it seems like it would breathe moderately well. The green color is a very pretty kind of celadon - not obnoxious, but very bright and cheery while still going with a lot of other colors. It makes me happy just seeing it hanging up in my office all day! Very happy with this purchase, and getting the coat for [$] before shipping charges was a bonus. Thanks again, Sierra Trading Post!
